The 1969 Class A State Basketball Champions will be this year’s inductees into the Friendswood High School 2011 Sports Hall of Honor.
           The members being inducted include Kent Ballard, Byron Cline, Perry Davis, Bill Holbrook, Arthur Kahn, Kevin Kelledy, Tom Long, Don Reed, Harley Robinson, Richard Stapp (posthumously), Wyatt Tompkins, Kenneth Toon, Rodney Unruh, and Mike Worden.
            Coaches for the team include Walter Wilson, Danny Pollard, and Don Hamilton.
           These outstanding athletes and coaches will be inducted into the 2011 Sports Hall of Honor on September 23, 2011, during the halftime of the Mustang Football Game against Galveston Ball High.
           “We would like to invite and encourage all former inductees as well as these inductees' friends, and family to join us at a reception in their honor at 5:30 PM in Walter Wilson Field House at Friendswood High School,” FHS teacher Pepper Smith said. Smith is coordinating the event.
