The Friendswood High School Band competed in the TMEA Region17 Band auditions recently. Students earned in 68 positions in District, 48 in Region, and 24 in the Area Band.
           The Region Band will perform in January at Manvel High School.
Students earning Area Honors will audition for the All-State Band on January 7 at Lamar University. 
           The All-State Band will perform in San Antonio in February.
           Students who earned District Honors were Rachel Harlow, Stephanie Carlin, Cameron Roberts, Jonathan Snowden, Shanika Silva, Jillian Strickland, David Zurawski, Michael Laflin, Ryann Hall, Abigail Mapp, Sam Greenwood, Julianna Strickland, David Bordelon,  Jonathan Munoz, Shane Rothchild, Danielle Gruber, Austin De La Rua, Mike Mayer, Darian Larsen, and Colin Rountree.
           Earning Region and District Honors were Traci Bordelon, Kyle Wiley, Melanie Forsyth, Rachel Goeken, Kelsey Faust, Rachel Langdon, Sean Jankowski, Megan Glanville, Emily Jones, Shellie Anderson, Kylie Hansen, Scott Morse, Ben Clements, Michael Johnson, Matthew Laitkep, Taylor Stump, Haley Long, Daniel Bradley, Aubrey Chalene, Erik Honore, Aaron Holloway, Kyle Beaman, Brooke Bartholomew and Garrett Bynum.
           Earning Area, Region, District were Morgan Mihovil, Julia Lu, Rikki Patrick, Emily Sharp, Chelsea Coleman, Meghan Vickery, Laura Bradley, Chris Chao, Michael Hsu, Anthony Richardson, Adrian Falco, Michael Polak, Jacob Gruener, Emily Irby, Brandon Goddard, Natalie Merino, James Antal, Zach Zimmerman, Shelby Stephens, Aaron Arribe, Jonah Strickland, Zach Coccetti, Blake Disiere and Daniel Du.
           The band directors are Greg Dick, Aaron Brown, and Julio Sanchez.
