 The Friendswood High School Swimming & Diving Teams beat 5A Clear Brook High School in a dual meet at Brook on Nov. 10 and then headed to Texas City for the annual Turkey Bowl Invitational to beat 12 other teams on the Friday before the Thanksgiving break.
The Lady Mustangs beat Clear Brook 100 to 85 while the Mustangs won 99 to 71 in the annual cross-town rivalry. At the Turkey Bowl, the Lady Mustangs took the first place trophy with 208 points, 114 points ahead of second place women’s finisher, Angleton High School. The Mustangs scored 185 points to also grab first place honors, by 98 point over second place men’s team, Manvel High School.
Next up, the FHS swimming & diving teams will host the “Mustang Splash Invitational” Meet at the Friendswood High School Natatorium. The meet will begin with the diving competition at 5 pm on Friday, Dec. 9, followed by the swimming competition starting at 10 am on Sat., Dec 10. Everyone is welcome to come out and catch the fast-paced action!
