Cheerleaders at Friendswood High School not only cheer to raise school spirit, they also cheer for a cause.
            Recently, the girls sold approximately 500 “I Cheer For…” tee shirts as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The sales were during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
            Their project earned $2450 and a check was sent in that amount to the American Cancer Society.
            All funds collected from this sale will be used in the Houston/Galveston area.  
           The girls on the squad are as follows: Lexi Bordelon, Ashton Clement, Kaitlin Cross, Clare Courtin, Kara Endahl, Lara Gardner, Maggie Geiler, Maddie Keeble, Abby Livesay, Madison Lockwood, Christina Lowry, Erica McDonald, Alissa Ratcliff, Rachel Steed, Kamri Stiefel, Taylor Weber, Mandy Blain,  Leah Blair, Kacey Bowen, Olivia Briand, Tori Burtzlaff, and Danica Jimenez.
           Also on the squad are Taylor King, Stephanie Leblanc, Hannah Montz, Mason Newkirk, Lauren Sellers, Rachel Woods, Nicole Bluth, Danielle Brock, Shelby Crenshaw, Julia Gill, Amelia Langhart, Savannah Mize, Kallie Scott, Sarah Salibo, Sarah Slaton, Victoria Stelmach, Brenna Swientonioski, Kaytlyn Vavrecka, and Mascots -Ashley Le Blanc and Karleigh Gutierrez.
