It’s  off to State Marching competition for the Mighty Mustang Band and for the sixth consecutive year.
             The band was one of two who advanced following the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Area F Marching Contest at Galena Park last Saturday.
            Twelve bands representing 12 districts competed after Region competition Tuesday, October 18 at Pearland ISD. Two out of the 12 competing advanced to State: Friendswood High School and Dawson High School.
            The FHS group will leave for the state contest in San Antonio at the Alamodome on November 7 and return late Tuesday night, Nov. 8.
            Band Directors are Greg Dick, Julio Sanchez and Aaron Brown. Color Guard Director is Ron Barnett.
