Teens Alliance
Dear Friendswood Alliance Supporters,
We are hosting a meeting of the Friendswood Alliance for the purpose of sharing an outstanding presentation by Sasha McLean, LMFT, LPC, formerly with the High Road Adolescent Program of the Council of Alcohol and Drugs Houston and currently the executive director of Archway Academy.
Sasha's program is entitled Teens and the Media: What you need to know about young people and pop culture media. She will make a media presentation that is relevant to teens in Friendswood and the particular issues they face in this area.  Barbara Gruener and I have attended one of her presentations and it was very powerful and informative.
Sasha has participated in several documentaries and been interviewed for articles in The Houston Chronicle on Teens and Substance Abuse.  As a local expert, Sasha is a sought-after presenter by many organizations such as Texas Children's Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine/Star of Hope and University of Houston at Clear Lake, as well as private and public schools.
