Freshmen in the Band set a new high school record recently in the
Region 17 Freshman All-Region Band auditions that were held at Alvin
High School.
Friendswood
had 26 students earning positions in the Freshman All-Region Band
almost doubling the next closest competitor. This was the most freshman

Mustangs to play in Toyota Center
The Boys Varsity Basketball team, who is now ranked 17 in the state, will play Alvin HS in the Toyota Center this Friday at 2:15 pm. Admission is free. However, if you would like to buy tickets to that night's Rockets game, there are ticket order forms in the FHS Athletic office as well as the AP office. Varsity coach is Darren Chandler.

Congrats to the Mustang Varsity Football Team, Region 3 Champions, for a GREAT SEASON
The Mustangs ended their season with a tough loss to Lake Travis on Saturday finishing the season with an 11-2 record. Along the way, the Mustangs defeated some outstanding teams, like the #4 Ranked Dayton Broncos, the #10 ranked Texas City Stings, the '06 state camp LaMarque Cougars, and the '07 state champion Lamar Consolidated Mustangs. The Mustangs captured the Region 3 Championship and reached the State Semifinals. Congratulations, again, on an outstanding year.
