The lesson, Get Hip to Habitat, involved the science students and the Galveston Bay Foundation joining in partnership with British Petroleum (BP), Lyondell, NRG and the Kempner Fund to empower students to value Galveston Bay and act to protect and preserve it through field trip experiences. Get Hip to Habitat is a program of the Galveston Bay Foundation (GBF) that intermingles education and marsh restoration initiatives.
