Super Sci Tech a success More
than 500 sixth, seventh and eighth grade girls from five different
school districts explored careers in math, science and technology last
Saturday at University of Houston- Clear Lake.
Girls
from Friendswood ISD, Dickinson ISD, LaPorte ISD, Galveston ISD and
Clear Creek ISD were part of the program that had them enjoying a wide

Cypress Woods Programming Competition
FHS Programming students placed in the Cypress Woods Programming Contest held last Saturday morning. These were all Novice students competing. This was a great accomplishment since there were 50 novice teams competing as well as 150 test takers. Friendswood was the only 4A school that placed at this meet; the others were all big 5A schools. In Team programming, Adam Coleman, Winston Wu, and Kevin Correll placed first. Ryan Ham and Kyle Murphy placed sixth. Joe Rogers and Noah Kessler placed eighth. In the individual written test, Adam Coleman placed third with Noah Kessler sixth and Winston Wu seventh. Sponsor is Annette Walter.
