All Star Cast awards were given to Jennifer Finch for the role of Miss Havisham and Nickolas Vennekotter as Pip. Winning Honorable Mention to the All Star Cast were Mason Conrad in the role of Young Pip and senior, Charles Easterly in the role of Joe, Pip's step-father.
Great Expectations will perform at the Region III UIL Regional Meet April 23 at Atascocita High School. FHS will perform 4th which is approximately 6:30 pm, according to Theatre teacher and director Kathy Powdrell.
“The cast and crew wish to thank Contest Manager: Cliff Mabry who managed four contests in less than two weeks, managing 18 performances and approximately 200 actors!” Powdrell said. “We also want to thank our timers and site crew.”
Official Contest Timers were FHS teachers Kay Jones and Amy Thornton.
The FHS Site crew programmed and ran 18 performances and 18 -90 minute rehearsals. The lighting crew was led by Sophomore Brian Gallagher and includes, Paul Harrington and Paul Kersteins.
FHS Honor Crew also hosted 18 performances and 18 rehearsals.
FHS UIL One Act alternates included Chris Cotter, AmyJo Foreman, Alan Murphy and Paul Harrington included: Stephanie Porter, Jon Olson, Ashley Easterly, Hannah Vaugh, Lizzie Conger, Michelle Wallace, KayLee Huff, Catherine Goode, Scott Sundstrom, Grace Worm, Michael Moeller, and JP Hranitzky.
The cast of Great Expectations includes James Van Matre, Ryan Frenk, Colin David, Ben Watt, Allison Unger, Megan Holmes, Alex Williams, Teagan Batts, Chris Hailey and Andy Newton.
The crew was led by Trevor Jancecek and includes, Paul Kersteins, Alex Matta and Brian Gallagher. |
