All six of the Friendswood ISD principals were honored by the School Board at the August 19, 2008 meeting for having their campuses rated Exemplary by the Texas Education Agency.

Cline Elementary, Westwood Elementary, Bales Intermediate, Windsong Intermediate, Friendswood Junior High and Friendswood High School were all named Exemplary.

“This is something to celebrate and it is something of which we are extremely proud,” Superintendent Trish Hanks said. “The Board wanted to recognize our principals for a job well done by them, their staff, the students, their parents and our very supportive community.”

Only 17 non-magnet high schools in Texas received the Exemplary rating with only 4 of those testing more than 1000 students. Friendswood High School is one of those four.

The six principals, Debbie Smith, Lynn Hobratschk, Joel Hannemann, Nelda Guerra, Dana Drew and Mark Griffon were presented special certificates and congratulated for their work.
