Residents interested in learning more about the role of the Friendswood Independent School District’s Board of Trustees, and who may be considering running for a seat on the board will have the benefit of an information meeting:
Monday, August 18 at 7:30 p.m.
FISD Administration Building Board Room, 302 Laurel.
Topics will include:
- An overview of the office of trustee
- The process of filing and running for office
- Other issues related to service on the Board
A trustee election has been called for Tuesday, November 4, 2008, for the purpose of electing four trustees to a four-year term of office to fill Positions 1, 2, 3 and 4 and electing one trustee to complete an existing two-year term in Position 5.
Voting time is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the FISD Administration Building.
Candidate filing for Positions 1-4 began July 28 and ends August 26, 2008 at 5 pm.
Candidate filing for Position 5 began July 30 and ends August 29, 2008 at 5 pm. |
