News: Cline student wins Jonas Bros tickets from Reliant contest

      Winners have been announced in the first Reliant Energy Student Recognition program. One student in Friendswood ISD won in the contest and will received Houston Live Stock and Rodeo and concert featuring the Jonas Brothers on March 8.

      Ashlee Reuter, second grade student at Cline Elementary was nominated by her teacher and her principal, Debbie Smith.
      As outlined in the Reliant Energy Student Recognition overview, the program has awarded at least one winner per each independent school district that participated.
      The program received 775 nominations across 14 school districts.
“We were delighted by the quality of students and the information shared in the nomination forms. We are very appreciative of the effort the Principals and Teachers put in forth, especially in light of the technical challenges we had with the nomination form,” Tracy Carmen-Jones, Vice President of Community Marketing and Involvement for Reliant Energy, Inc., said.
      All nominated students will receive a Reliant Energy/Houston LiveStock and Rodeo t-shirt with an ‘Exemplary Student’ affixed to it as well as a signed certificate of recognition.
      There are 23 winners of tickets to the Houston Live Stock and Rodeo and concert featuring the Jonas Brothers on March 8.  Two students will receive a pair of tickets each to sit in the seats that are closest to the concert stage.  Two students will be hosted in the Reliant Energy suite. Nineteen students will receive a 4 pack of tickets.
      Districts who won tickets include Houston, Humble, Katy, Aldine, Alief, Conroe, Fort Bend, Friendswood, Humble, Klein, Cy-Fair, Pearland, Spring and Spring Branch ISDs.
