The FHS Lady Mustang softball season started off with a big tournament win at the Marble Falls BBQ classic recently (2/19-21). The Lady Mustangs went 4-0-1 for the best record in their division.

     They beat Odessa Permian 2-0, Marble Falls 5-3, Lehman 12-2 and Fort Bend Dulles 4-2. They tied Lockhart 2-2.

     The pitchers for the tournament were Kelly Smith at 3-0-1 and Lauren Massar at 1-0-0. During the 26 innings Kelly Smith pitched, she allowed 4 earned runs and struck out a total of 54 batters. Lauren Massar pitched 5 innings allowing 2 earned runs and struck out 5 batters.
     Offensive contributors for the tournament were Aimee Konet with 9 hits and 7 runs scored, Kelsey Eubanks with 4 hits, 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored, Lindsey Davis with 7 hits, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored, Carrie Flores with 4 hits and 5 runs scored, Aimee Fifield with 3 hits, 3 RBIs and 1 run scored,  Kelsi Acosta with 3 hits, 1 RBI and 1 run scored, Katie Caswell and Brittney Brown both had 1 hit and 1 run scored, Caitlyn Garivey with 1 hit and 1 RBI and Samantha Steffes with 1 hit.
