Susan Bode is an integral part of Cline’s Special Education team, and she leads the Structured Learning program. Her experience with students with disabilities and also her training for meeting the needs of autistic children allows many children with diverse abilities and disabilities to flourish in inclusive environments.
“But, what sets her apart from everyone on her campus is her sense of humor and lightning fast, quick wit!” Principal Debbie Smith said.
Bode and her husband Bob have two sons: Nathan who is currently attending UT at Tyler majoring in Civil Engineering and Garrett, a 7th grader interested in percussion and soccer. Susan is in her 16th year of teaching.
Isabel Clark also makes a difference at Cline Elementary. She demonstrates leadership qualities that enable her to facilitate efficiently, effectively and successfully. In the classroom she continues to engage her students in meaningful tasks that empower students to take increased responsibility in managing their own learning and contribute to the world around them.
“FISD is fortunate to have Isabel has part of the Cline team,” Smith said.
Clark is an FHS graduate. She has worked at Cline Elementary for 20 years, and has taught all subject areas in 2nd grade. She also serves as the 2nd grade team leader. Isabel is married to Milton Clark and they have a daughter, Haley, who is now in 9th grade at Friendswood High School.
