News: 3 DECA students advance to State competition
posted: January 27, 2009

After competing successfully, three Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) members are advancing to state.  Each of these students placed in their occupational category recently.

This consisted of a 100-question marketing exam and an occupation role play with a judge from the local business community.

The advancing students include Lindsay Crenek who placed in Apparel and Accessories; Alex Prybil who placed in Restaurant and Food Service Management; and Chelsea Rouen in Marketing Management.

State competition will be held Feb 26-29 in Galveston at Moody Gardens.

The girls will compete in the same events for a chance to represent Friendswood at the International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California.

FHS DECA advisor is Kara Buster.
