News: HOSA competes, wins

Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) members at Friendswood High School brought home honors after competing recently.

The students who placed in the top three will move on to State contest in April. 

In the category of CPR/First Aide, Teale Horbach and Kennedy Metcalf received third place.  Kelly Smith and Chad Carlson   won fifth place.

In the category of EMT, Kelli Svatek and Alanna White won first place.

In Forensic Medicine, Meredith Suggs and Kelsi Acosta were named third place winners.

In Health Education, Samantha Buerger and Brandon Johnson (Sharon Cole) received second place.

Raynee DuPreist, Taylor Dixon and Marshall Freiden  (Chandler Sager) were named to fourth place.

In HOSA Bowl, Teagan Batts, Kyle Hood, Emily Keller, and Steven Yospur received fourth place.

In Job Seeking Skills category, Danielle Peacock received first place with Lauren Dirksmeyer in second place.

In Medical Photography, Shannon Kyle received third place.

In Pathophysiology, Lindsey Reynolds won third place.

In Researched Persuasive Speaking, second place was awarded to Courtney Crouse.

Kelli Svatek was endorsed as a National Officer Candidate.
