News: Windsong magazine sale over, success
posted: January 22, 2009

The Windsong Intermediate Library wrapped up its Fall Magazine Fundraiser by handing out prizes to students who participated on December 19.   Prizes included crazy slime, a flying zeebee, a mini universal remote, a motion sensor, and mini flashing IPOD speaker, as well as a spin of the money wheel and time grabbing money from the money machine.

The following students won a chance to spin the money wheel: Hannah Carpenter, JoJo Twyford, Hector Beven, Sarah Redding, and Danny Vasquez.

Teacher Leah Jones brought her fifth grade class to watch the students spin the money wheel.  Her class had been studying probability and immediately began figuring odds for the prize amounts on the wheel.

Trace Gallington, Kristin Olansen, Cade Watson, and Michael Brisbay won a chance to grab money from the money machine.  All did very well and had loads of fun, according to Principal Nelda Guerra.

The librarian wishes to thank all who supported the library by purchasing or renewing subscriptions.  Proceeds will be put towards the purchase of new books and reading incentives.

Anyone can still support the Windsong Intermediate Library by purchasing new or renewing current subscriptions using the Great American 24/7/365 logo on the Windsong Library News page.  Renewed subscriptions will be added to a current subscription, so it isn’t necessary for a subscription to expire in order to renew. The library continues to receive 40 percent of the cost of the subscription throughout the school year.
