Ed Foundation directors and the event co-chairs CiCi Newkirk and Selena Ellis want to thank the following partners for helping make A True Blue Evening a possibility: Commerce Equities, Inc. and the businesses of the Acadiana Center; Bay Architects, Lexus of Clear Lake and AMOCO Federal Credit Union.
“Their support and partnership has allowed us to plan a very special evening for the honorees,” Ellis said.
The evening attendance is completely sold out with over 370 guests expected. The evening will begin with a social time at 7 pm followed by dinner, recognition program, live and silent auction and end with dancing. Music is being provided by The Emotions.
The recognition program will honor six Distinguished Alumni: Floyd Brown, Jr., Beryl Cline, Jim Hill, Randy Speck, Kent Ballard and Honorary Alumnus Dr. David Hearn. Master of Ceremonies is Daniel Knight and auctioneer in Mike Hickey.
Guests are reminded that the bridge over I-45 and access roads at NASA Road One will be closed this weekend. Traffic is expected to be extraordinarily congested, therefore a plan around the closures is recommended. |
