The Friendswood HS German Program made its first ever State finish, placing 5th in the non-5A division recently in Austin. This was accomplished by the winning of 11 students in 10 different events.
Such a win puts each of those German students in the top 1 percent of German students statewide. |

 In addition, Friendswood placed 6th-10th in 10 additional events, meaning every student who competed placed high enough in at least one event to contribute points towards sweepstakes.
The award-winning folk dancing team from FHS will be dancing at the Tomball German Heritage Festival on March 28 at 5:30 pm.
Winning students include Brittany Armstrong, Anna Carlson, Dino Georgeton, Randy Ham, Madeline Harrington, Stephen Hutzler, Melodie Larsen, Roy Nickel, Allie Ogden, Stephen Schilter, and Lizi Zurikashvili.
Additional Top 10 Finishers include Susan Abuisi, Cullen Brown, Samantha Genzer, Ashley Hoffmann, Lizzie Jones, Ben Mann, Chelsea Matthews, Kayla Orsak, Gabe Pendley, Cody Richardson, Lauren Sommer, Elisabeth Steiger, Garrett Steiger, and Lindsey Williams. |
