With only 14 singers competing, the boys performed with the strength of a much bigger choir, impressing the judges and keeping the bar high for future Mustang Chorus members, according to Choir Director Melissa Smith.
The Concert and Chamber Choirs combined to compete as a Varsity Treble Choir. The girls gave an awe-inspiring performance on both the concert stage and the sight-reading room, also earning a superior rating from all six judges and receiving their fifth consecutive Sweepstakes. They received glowing accolades from the judges, who told them they were worthy of being a State Honor Choir, Smith said.
The choir members who competed include the following:
In Mustang Chorus: Nathan Buzby, Dee Faught, Sean Goodwin, Daniel Holder, Marshall Hoskins, Zach Kennedy, Vinnie Mahal, Austin Melis, Eric Prasco, William Romeo, Jacob Segal, David Snowden, Nathan Stevens, and William Timme.
