Friendswood Junior High members of Clean Living Encouragement and Responsibility (CLEAR) came together with their sponsors, Corey Dalton, Lindsay Hutchins and Megan Marshall who supervised Addison Cobb, Emilyse Hranitzky, Ashley Morgan and Caitlin Kaltenbaugh to assemble a 1965 blue Mustang replica pedal car to benefit the Friendswood Education Foundation fund raiser auction. |

The teens knew that the service project would help to raise funds at the Friendswood Education Foundation’s True Blue Evening fund raising event held at Space Center Houston on March 7. One teen said, “Any kid should like this car. It’s a blue Mustang and looks cool.”
Friendswood Junior High CLEAR head sponsor Megan Marshall added that in addition to service projects, CLEAR members have socials and t-shirt sales to help get the CLEAR message out to other students and to reduce alcohol and substance abuse among youth. “We are working to promote sales of CLEAR t-shirts so that other students can see that we have over 37 percent of our student body signed up as members promoting clean and healthy living. Right now we are working on a roller skating social event where our members can wear their CLEAR t-shirts and make a positive statement while having fun.” |
