In Behavioral Science, Hannah Zawila won third place ($15).
In Environmental Sciences Jamie McCoullough won first place ($50).
Michael Laitkep won 1st place ($50) in Botany.
In the category of Zoology, Nader Asgari-Tari won first place ($50) and Gaby Quintana won second place ($25).
Brady Wells won first place ($50) and Jacob Gruener received Honorable Mention in Engineering.
In Physics, Andrew Porter won third place ($15) and Derek Janek won second place ($25).
In addition there were also special awards in which the FJH students swept the categories.
Jamie McCullough won both the Shell Award ($150) and first place in Life Science Division ($200). She also won the Sea Camp Award.
Collin Brown received the Naval Award.
For the Physical Science Division award in which they combine several categories Derek Janek won second place ($150) and Brady Wells won third place ($100).
For the Life Science Division Award, Nader Asgari-Tari won third place ($100).
The winners of the Galveston show have the opportunity to compete in the upcoming Houston Science and Engineering Fair. |
