The Houston Grand Opera's High School Voice Studio has announced that two Friendswood High School students, Elizabeth Conger and Catherine Goode, are among eight greater-Houston area students to be selected for the 2009-2010 studio from a group of very talented finalists. 

The first-round audition was held on April 19, with callbacks held on May 3. 

The two singers will have access to voice lessons provided by the HGO staff, will be prepared for college auditions, and will receive a stipend to assist with those auditions.  They will also be participating in voice recitals throughout the 2009-2010 school year.
