News: FHS fares well on National Spanish Exam

FHS students received outstanding results on the National Spanish Exam.  Their results on the national level are as follows:

Gold medalists included Noah Kessler in Level 3 with 100%; Lauren Pontiff in Level 3 with 95%; Brandon Taylor in Level 4 with 100%; Allison Piwetz in Level 5 with 99%; Danielle Wilson in Level 5 with 99%; and Abigail Wolff in Level 5 with 96%.

Silver medalists include Lauren Patterson in Level 3 at 92%; Shannon Reinert in Level 3 at 88%; Julia Taylor in Level 4 at 86%; Carolina White in Level 5 at 91%; and Vanessa Rivera in Level 5 at 90%.

Bronze medalists include those at Level 3: Gabriela Lee, Peter Kaminsky and Veronica Heintz; Level 4: Lilin Jin, Kristen Olson and Jeremy Poast and Level 5: Julia Bradley.

Students that received Honorable Mention include the following: Level 3: Robert Roy, Amy Berry, Caitlin D'Ercole and Omar Martinez and Level 4: Karla Martinez and Melissa Glasgow.

Certificates of Participation were given to the following students: Level 3: Jacquelyn Garza, Miles Robinson and Jasmin Auzenne.
On a district level, in competition with students from neighboring school districts, the results were the following: at Level III – Regular, Noah Kessler received first place; in Outside Experience, Gabriela Lee received second place; in Level IV – Regular, Brandon Taylor received first place; in  Level V – Regular,  Danielle Wilson  received first place (tie), Regular - Allison Piwetz received first place (tie); Regular - Abigail Wolff received third place; Regular - Julia Bradley received fifth place; in Outside Experience - Vanessa Rivera received first place and in category Bilingual / Native - Carolina White received first place.
