Icabod! will be the fall production for the  drama department at Friendswood Junior High. The play is during 1st, 2nd and 3rd periods on Oct. 30 and 31st in the FJH auditorium. It is the Theatre Arts II classes and is free.

Icabod! is an adaptation of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Craig Sodaro.

The play tells the story of Icabod Crane, a gentle schoolmaster who falls in love with the town's most eligible lady, Katrina Van Tassel. However, Sleepy Hollow's biggest bully, Brom Bones and his sidekick, Billy Van Brunt will do anything in their power to get in the way of Icabod's budding romance with Katrina. And to make matters worse, the town's infamous ghost, the "Headless Horseman" has been spotted and is wreaking havoc on the quiet village.

Narrated by the townspeople, the story unfolds and leaves the audience haunted by the spirit of the Headless Horseman!

Leads for Icabod include 1st-Ryan Teal, 2nd-Matthew Ruiz, and   3rd-Brian Correll.  Katrina Van Tassel will be portrayed by 1st-Haley Hoff and Mallory Ballard (double cast), 2nd-Peyton Yager and  3rd-Madeline Leboeuf.

Brom Bones will be performed by 1st-Tommy Stuart and Gabriel Mayoral, 2nd- Sean Goodwin, and 3rd-Shobai Budzik.

Clara Matling will be portrayed by 1st-Kaitlyn Kaufhold, Madison Lockwood, 2nd-Alissa Ratcliff, and 3rd-Maggie Geiler.
