Angleton High School finished second by defeating Dawson High, also on Tuesday. Angleton's only loss was to Friendswood, on October 14.
First and second place tennis teams from each region qualify for the Regional tournament to be held October 31 and November 1 in Katy.
Matchups will not be known until the coaches involved get together to make the draw on October 30.
“Based on this year's results, Friendswood is a likely candidate to be seeded in the top four teams in the tournament,” Coach David Cook said. |
