Parking Lot & Rehearsal Safety

Dear Parents and Students:
Please review and sign this form that outlines guidelines for student safety before, during and after rehearsals. Our goal is to maintain a safe rehearsal environment.

It seems appropriate at this time to review safety issues in order to ensure student safety before, during and after rehearsals students are expected to observe the following.

FHS Student Manual States that the building is closed to students at 4:00pm. Students should leave campus unless they are involved in:
Wednesday Drama Club/Thespian Meeting
Rehearsal for Children's Theatre/Mustang Follies
Officer's Meeting
An on campus activity, tutoring, d-hall or meeting
*please note: if the rehearsal call is 6:00pm, students are expected to leave the building at 4:00pm and not return until 6:00pm or the "called" time by the director. These times are on the production calendar and re confirmed on the callboard daily.
Students are not allowed to "wait" unsupervised for a theatre rehearsal. (Example: from 4:00 ­ 6:00 for an evening rehearsal.)

Students are encouraged to make arrangements for "rides" to or from rehearsals as needed using the Company Member print out directory supplied to each student.

During Rehearsal: Once more we want to clarify the following.
Once a student arrives on campus they are to stay in the building.
Students are not allowed to go outside the building for any reason.
This includes breaks, dinners or intermission.
Students are not allowed to go into parking for any reasons without permission from Mrs. Powdrell or Mrs. Thornton.
Students are not to bring "visitors or friends" to rehearsals with out director approval. (parents are always welcome.)

Parking Lot
Before - After - During
Students should not leave valuable in their car.
Students should lock their vehicle.
Students should park in student parking.
Students should not park in staff parking.
Students will not park on the "porch" as it is a Fire Code Violation.
Students are on camera and any student mischief in the parking lot: speeding, chasing, etc. will be dealt with per FHS Student Code of Contact.
After Rehearsals
Students are released from normal rehearsals (non Tech) before
6:00pm Children's Theatre and Mustang Follies
8:45 pm Fall Show
Students are expected to be off campus with in 5 minutes of dismissal.
Students are not to "visit" in the Parking lot.
Any and all suspicious activity should be or will be reported to FPD.
