Mark Griffon Principal - ext 140
Mr. Griffon graduated from Friendswood HS in 1978 and then earned a BS in Biology and a Masters in Administration and Supervision both from Texas Tech University. Mr. Griffon received a Mid-Management Certification from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. He holds a Superintendent Certification from Texas Southern University. Mr Griffon taught science for 14 years at Friendswood HS and was also the Head Basketball coach for 11 years. He joined the administrative team at Friendswood HS in 2000 as an Assistant Principal. Mr. Griffon was the Associate Principal at FHS for one year and then the Executive Director of Administrative Operations for the district for one year before returning to Friendswood HS as the Principal.
Diane Myers Associate Principal - ext 124
Mrs. Myers earned a BA in Mathematics Education and a Master's Degree in Mid-Management Administration both from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. She taught fourth grade for 10 years in the Alvin Independent School District, and continued in Alvin for 3 more years as a Title I Math Specialist. Ms. Myers joined Friendswood ISD in 1999 as the Assistant Principal of Bales Intermediate until December 2006. In January 2007 she joined Friendswood High School as the Dean of Accountability.
Nancy Lockhart Director of Student Success Initiatives - ext 275
Mrs. Lockhart earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education 6th -12th grades from the University of New Orleans, in Dec. 1992. She earned her Masters of Science in Educational Leadership and Principal Certification from the University of Houston, Clear Lake in 2002. She taught 8th grade at Albert Cammon Middle School in St. Rose, Louisiana for one year then moved to Destrehan High School to teach HS Mathematics. She was also responsible for the remediation of students studying for the Graduate Exit Exam (GEE). Mrs. Lockhart and her husband moved to Friendswood in 1996. She has taught Integrated Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Pre-AP Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-AP Algebra II, FST, Pre Calculus and Pre AP Pre Calculus for 7 years at FHS. After teaching for 10 years, she joined the administrative team at FHS, in August of 2003, as an Assistant Principal. She then moved to Clear Lake High School in 2006 to be the Dean of Instruction for one year before returning to Friendswood ISD as the Director of Student Success Initiatives 6th-12th.
Fred Cappadona Assistant Principal (Le - Rod) Ext 105
Mr. Cappadona earned his B.S. in Animal Science and a Masters in Agricultural Education from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State). He worked as an Agriculture teacher at Pearland High School for 5 years, while earning a Masters in Educational Administration from the University of Houston Clear Lake. He has been an Assistant Principal at Friendswood Junior High for the last 6 years, before making the move to Friendswood High School.
Wiley Murrell A - D Assistant Principal - ext 106
Mr. Murrell received his undergraduate degree from Lamar University and his Masters from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. He began teaching science and coaching at FJH in 1973 and taught biology and coached at FHS. He has been an administrator since 1981,which has included 10 years as JH principal, and 4 years as athletic director.
Dayna Owen Roe - Z Assistant Principal - ext 103
Ms Owen received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Early Childhood and minor in Human Performance and Nutrition at University of Houston Clear Lake. She earned her Masters Degree in Mid-Management and Principals Certification from UHCL. Ms. Owen taught mathematics for twelve years with the last three in Friendswood.
Tammy Pipkin E - La Assistant Principal - ext 104
Ms. Pipkin earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998. She currently holds a probationary principal certificate through the University of Houston - Clear Lake. Ms. Pipkin taught 7th and 8th grade math at O' Henry Middle School in Austin for one year before coming to Friendswood High School to teach math and coach volleyball in 1999. |
