TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION CONDITIONAL GRANT PROGRAM
Eligibility: Senior
Criteria:  Must be a Texas resident, considered economically disadvantaged and attend a Texas four-year college or university as a full-time student. ADAM LEE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION
Eligibility: Senior

LAMAR UNIVERSITY
Eligibility: Senior
Criteria:  Student must be applying to Lamar as a pre-professional student for the 2012-2013 school year. Pre-professional programs consist of: pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-pharmacy, pre-podiatry, pre-veterinarian, pre-physical therapy, and pre-optometry.  The available scholarships are open to high school seniors that are in the top 20% of their class, have an SAT score of 1000 or better, and/or have a minimum GPA of 3.0.  For more information please contact the Advising Center at 409-880-8534.

CITY OF HOUSTON 20th ANNUAL PUBLIC SERVICE RECOGNITION WEEK ESSAY CONTEST
Eligibility: Senior
Criteria:  Compose an essay of 500 words or less about what a difference you’d make as a city of Houston municipal employee. GULF COAST REGIONAL BLOOD CENTER
Eligibility: Senior
Criteria: Your school must host two blood drives during the 2011-2012 academic year. You must plan to attend an institution of higher learning the following year. You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

SPWP SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility: Senior

NATIONAL ACADEMY OF ENGINEERING’S ENGINEER GIRL! WEBSITE’S 12TH ANNUAL ESSAY CONTEST.
Eligibility: Grades 3 thru 12

HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW AND RODEO METROPOLITAN SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility: Senior
Criteria:  Must be a citizen of the United States; must be a Texas resident; attend a public school in Galveston County. Score at least a 1350 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT. Official documentation must be submitted with application. HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW AND RODEO OPPURTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility: Senior
Criteria:  Must be a citizen of the United States; must be a Texas resident; attend a public school in Galveston County. Score at least a 1210 on the SAT or 17 on the ACT. Official documentation must be submitted with application. LAURA SMITHER SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility: Senior
Criteria: Friendswood resident throughout their high school career, must have attended any private school, Friendswood High School, Clear Brook High School or have been homeschooled.

AYN RAND EDUCATION
Eligibility: 8th, 9th, & 10th Graders

THE GRAND SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility & Criteria:  Participants are judged based on their initial application, on-site debates and participation during the week.  Multiple students receive scholarships in the first round and the total number of students selected dictates how much each student will receive.  Applications can be found by going to: http://www.studentscholarships.org/scholarship.php.

Eligibility: Seniors
Criteria:   To attend an accredited Texas 2 or 4 year institution of higher learning.
