Anyone interested in running for Student Council Officer needs to stop by Mrs. Peter's room, 1015, on Thursday or Friday of this week, 3/11 and 3/12, to sign up and pick up a candidate packet.

Please congratulate Vicky Stanley, Collin Thurman and David Robles for competing at the state competition for Business Professionals of America in Fort Worth this past week. David Robles placed 2nd at state and advances to Nationals that will take place in Anaheim, California in May. Collin Thurman placed 2nd in an open event for Information Tech Concepts. These students did a great job of representing Friendswood High School.

The boys and girls soccer teams are hosting La Marque this Friday night. Game times are 5:00 and 7:00. This is Senior night for the boys. The Senior ceremonies will begin immediately following the girls game which should be shortly after 6:00. Come out and support both programs heading into the playoffs. Teachers this is also Teacher Appreciation night.

The girls soccer team is now 16-2-3 overall and 8-0 in district play with only two district games left to play. On Tuesday, 3/9, we will be hosting Manvel here at home at 7:00 and at halftime we will be honoring our two outstanding seniors this year, Annalisa Hall and Miriam Mooney. Please come out and support the girls and help us honor these two seniors on their successful high school careers.

The girls JV white soccer team finished their season Tuesday night by defeating Manvel 3-0.  They finished the year with a season record of 8-3-2, as well as taking home first place at the Crosby tournament.  Congratulations on a very successful season!
