MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6

Students, we will be entering course selections online this year, you need to confirm that you are able to log into your student access account.  Please do this as soon as possible.  
Go to the FISD website and click Student Access under the STUDENTS tab.
If you have never logged into your account, you will use your student ID as the Login ID and your 8 digit birthdate as the password.
If you have used an incorrect password three times and you are locked out of your account, these ladies can reset your password:

                Mrs. Clark - AP Office
                Mrs. Knowlton - AP Office
                Mrs. Camarillo - Mrs. Myers Office

There will be a cheer tryout meeting on Wednesday Feb 22 at 6:30 pm in the FHS library for all students interested in trying out for 2012-2013 Freshmen, JV, or Varsity Cheer squads. If you need more info, please contact Mrs. Yee, Rm 1036.

The boys soccer team opened district play on Friday night with a victory over Galveston Ball.  The 2-0 score improves their overall record to 9-1-3 with a district record of 1-0.  The next games are at Dawson on Tuesday and La Marque at home on Friday.  Both games are at 7:00 so come out and support the team!!

The Friendswood High School Baseball team will hold its 5th Annual 100 Inning Game Fundraiser and Home Run Derby on Saturday, February 11th.
 A barbecue lunch will be available for $10 between 11:00 and 2:00.
 
Friendswood hosted the district swim meet Friday and Saturday, the girls won with 163 points and the boys won with 126 points. Event winners for Friendswood were; for girls 200 medley relay Mady Maloy, Erin Darnauer, Rachel Cragin, Heidi Henricks, for Boys 200 medley Justin Bertelsman, Taylor Watson, Michael Tomerlin, Matt Wall, 

For Girls 200 free Heidi Henricks, for Boys 200 Individual Medley Justin Bertelsman, Girls 50 free Rachel Cragin, Boys 50 free Jack Maloy, for the Girls diving Rachel Wright, boys 400 free relay Jack Maloy, Justin Bertelsman, Matt Wall, Taylor Watson.
 
There will be an Interact meeting Thursday, February 9th! Come to hear about service opportunities and to have some free ice cream!

The Shattered Dreams III T-shirt contest has begun!  If you are interested in winning $50 and having your design worn this year - turn in your t-shirt design to the Ms. Owen in the AP office by March 1st.

While the SAT is on your mind, sign up for the SAT Prep course offered at FHS. Registration forms are online or stop by Mrs. Myers office.  Registration deadline for SAT Prep Course is February 24 also All College bound seniors must contact their counselor of your college choice requires a mid year report. The Counseling center does not automatically send these. please contact your counselor with the colleges you would like to receive a report. You may also need to send an and updated transcript!

Do you plan on taking an AP test May 7-18?  We will be taking payments next week in the AP office and then in the cafeteria the week after that.  Each test is $87!

Some FHS kids won big at the Galveston Science Fair this weekend! We will keep you updated with a list of winners tomorrow! 

Speaking of winners, these kids have birthdays today. Alex Lawson, Maret Moran, Amy Nguyen, Brandon Sargent, and William Timme. 

Give those kids a happy birthday wink! And for lunch today in the home zone is popcorn chicken, and in the bistro there is general tso chicken, and in the tortilla fresh mex there is chicken enchiladas! 

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7

The Asian American club will meet today, after school, in room 804.  Come see what those wild and crazy guys have in store for you today!   As usual, Asian snacks will be served.  The snacks are in a bag, so we aren't sure if they are alive or dead.  Who knows?  Please come by room 804 and check us out!

RECYCLING CLUB MEETS TODAY AFTER SCHOOL IN THE SENIOR MALL.  WE HAVE MORE CLASSROOMS THAN EVER TO COLLECT AND NEED YOUR HELP!!  REMEMBER TO SIGN-IN FOR NHS SERVICE HOURS OR MAKE-UP HOURS.  SEE YOU THERE!!  AS ALWAYS, COOL GLOVES WILL BE SERVED!
