Dear Parents,
On Thursday, November 8, 2007, Friendswood Junior High will host visitors from around the country as part of the National Middle School Association (NMSA) conference. FJH was selected as one of twelve area middle schools to be showcased during the conference. Thank you to our wonderful PTO Hospitality Committee for the amazing luncheon they treated us to last Friday. Ladies - the food was terrific and the decorations incredible. Thanks for making us feel so special! UPCOMING EVENTS
Fall Dance - Friday, October 19 - 7 pm until
10 pm
Parents - Our first dance is rapidly approaching. Please be prompt picking up your children from the dance. At 10 pm, we will release the 7th graders to be picked up in the snack bar horseshoe drive and the 8th graders will be walked to the front of the school to the bus drive. If you are picking up a combination of kids in both grade levels, just let the kids know which area you will use to pick them up. Please do not ask your child to meet you on Spreading Oaks or by the girl's gym. At that hour of the evening, the safety of your child is our foremost concern, so students will only be released at the designated areas.
Parent Swap Day - Monday, October 22 - 1 pm
until 3:45 pm
Early Voting for Bond Election - Monday,
October 22 - Noon until 8 pm
