This summer,
Friendswood ISD will host and administer the Credit by Exam (without prior
instruction) at Windsong Intermediate for both Friendswood ISD and Santa Fe
ISD. Please remember, each of the tests has an administrative cost of $20 each
(i.e., for first semester of U.S. History $20; for second semester of U.S.
History $20; for grade 2 English Language Arts $20; for grade 2 math $20; for
grade 2 science $20; for grade 2 social studies $20). Kindergarten has four
exams at $20 each for a total of $60. You must collect money from the
parents when the registration forms are completed and checks should be made
payable to Friendswood ISD and sent to this office with the registration form.
When we have verification that the test was taken, we will refund the money.
Students who pay, but did not take the test, will NOT have their money
refunded. Late payments/registrations will not be accepted.
This credit by exam is only available to students WITHOUT PRIOR INSTRUCTION in the course. The passing score for each test is 90. Students in grades 1-8 must pass all four core subjects with a 90 on each test to be advanced from one grade to the next. Students in grades 9-12 can earn credit, course by course (or .5 credits).
