students in grades 4-6 and is located in the North Zone. The
state of the art building opened in 1994. Bales Intermediate
was named after Zue Stevenson Bales, a Friendswood pioneer educator,
primitive artist, musician, and missionary. Bales offers instrumental
band in the sixth grade. Fine arts and choir are offered to all
three grades. Bales has been a TEA Exemplary campus for the past
nine out of ten years.
