Registration will resume on August 13 and continue through August 24.

Registration hours are:
8:30-11:00 a.m.
1:30-3:00 p.m.

Required Documents
(originals and copies)
1. Proof of Residency (utility bill showing name and current date, i.e., light bill, water bill, Entex bill, lease contract)
2. Original State Birth Certificate (no hospital certificate)
3. Child's Social Security Card
4. Most recent grade transcript (report card)
5. Driver's license of Guardian
6. Immunization record showing the following:
- DPT (Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus): At least four (4) doses. Once since 4th birthday.
- POLIO: At least three (3) doses of oral Polio vaccine (OPV) are required, provided at least one does has been received on or after the fourth birthday
- RUBELLA: ((Measles) Two (2) doses, one being on or after the first birthday. The second dose must be received by age 5 years or before entry into kindergarten.
- MUMPS: One (1) dose of vaccine received on or after the first birthday.
- RUBELLA: One (1) does of vaccine received on or after the first birthday.
- HEPATITIS B: Three (3) doses are required.
- VARICELLA (Chickenpox): One (1) dose of Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccine on or after the 1st birthday OR documentation of previously having the illness.
- HEPATITIS A - recommended; not required
***The day, month, and year of vaccine administration must be recorded on all new school records.

THE ABOVE IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET BEFORE A STUDENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER SCHOOL.

Bring your child's medical records with you at time of registration. If there is a question about shots, the problem can be addressed at that time.

Directions to Windsong: From Houston take I45 South, exit Nasa Rd 1 and take a right. You will pass Bay Area Blvd and 518. Windsong is on the right approximately 2 miles from 518.

Windsong Intermediate is the newest addition to the Friendswood Independent School district. It is located in the South Zone at 2100 W. Parkwood. The facility is approximately 85,000 square feet and houses approximately 665 fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students. There are 28 classroom teachers and numerous support staff that provide excellent learning opportunities for all students. Windsong has an active P.T.O. and many parent volunteers who help the staff throughout the year.

Students are able to participate in various academic activities such as Spelling Bee, Geography Bee, Continental Math League, Robotics Team, Science Olympiad, and Science Fair. In sixth grade, students are able to choose Band, Performing Arts, Choir, Beginner and Advanced Violin, or Art as an elective. In addition, choir, sports, and various clubs are offered before and after school to all students. Windsong is an exciting place where teachers love to teach and students love to learn.
