Friendswood ISD has a new system for notifying community members in case of emergency. The FISD Alerts system allows subscribers to receive email or text messages (or both) when an alert is sent. Alerts are campus specific so the messages can be targeted to the proper audience.
To sign up for FISD Alerts:
- Go to http://teacherweb.com/tx/friendswoodisd/friendswoodisdalerts or follow the “FISD Alerts” link on the district “For Parents” page.
- Once at the site, click on the campus for which you would like to receive alert messages and click on the “Add Email or Mobile Device Address” button.
- On the sign up page, choose either “Send Email to my computer” or “Send Email to my mobile device” and fill in the requested information.
- Click on the “Add Your Email Address” or “Add Mobile Device Address” button.
- If you would like to receive both email and mobile device text messages, simply repeat the process for the other method.
- Repeat the process for each campus for which you would like to receive alerts.
