Our neighbor, Haiti, sits on the second largest Caribbean island and is just southeast of Cuba. It has 9 million people and is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. As you all know, on January 12, Haiti's people experienced a 7.0 magnitude earthquake. Worldwide, people are concerned about those affected by this devastating quake. Windsong shares this concern. This week, we will begin collecting donations for the Red Cross to benefit the people of Haiti. Look for the Windsong Cares sign in the cafeteria to deposit your donations in. Remember that even small change contributed by each of us can, when it is combined with the donations of others, be an important help to people in such need. Please help Windsong show that it cares about the people of Haiti.
