Great week Windsong! On Friday we are asking for donations of household cleaning items such as dish soap, detergent, bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner, etc.

So far the fourth grade classes in the lead are Mrs. Lell, Mrs. McVey, and Mrs. Greene. The fifth grade classes taking the lead are Mrs. Karjooy and Mrs. Halata.

Everyone did a great job with the pet food donations yesterday! The top 4th grade class was Mrs. McVey and the top 5th grade class was Mrs. Karjooy! Thursday we are asking for "new" unwrapped toys to donate to the Friendswood Blue Santa program. Let's help make Christmas special for kids in need.

We are also asking you all to wear RED to school tomorrow. Our high school students will be here at 8:00 in the morning for a special Red Ribbon Week pep rally. Let's show them we are committed to being DRUG FREE by wearing Red!

Thank you Windsong for the donations so far during Red Ribbon Week. Wednesday please bring a can food item to donate to our local food bank.

The top 6 classes from Monday's donations were Mrs. McVey, Mrs. Greene, Mrs. Halata, Mrs. Karjooy and Mrs. Fornfeist!

Next week we will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week. The theme this year is "Make a Difference - Be Drug Free!" We are asking students to bring a different item each day which we will donate to a needy organization. The class with the most participation at the end of the week will be included in the picture that is in the newspaper and on the website.
*Monday - toiletry items
*Tuesday - pet food
*Wednesday - nonperishable food
*Thursday - new unwrapped toy
*Friday - household cleaning items

Stampeding Stallions, next week with be our water bottle fight. You must have a permission slip to participate. You may find blank forms outside of Mrs. Greene's room and you may return your signed permission slips back to the same location.

Tomorrow is the last day to register for the Windsong Main Event night at the discounted price. The Main Event night will be Tuesday, October 5, 2010 5:00-8:00 pm. $25.00 advance admission due 9/24/10 after that the price goes up to $30. Don't miss out! Forms can be found here.
