One of our Westwood students has a grandfather
who has the privilege of working with these heroes, and he told
us that he hears over and over again that they would return to
the service if they could. That's dedication, that's heroism,
that's citizenship in action! So we honor them today and show
our appreciation for them with our hand-drawn pictures and our
warm wishes.
We thank Lori McDonald for planting the seed
for this project and for delivering the fruits of our labor on
her Thanksgiving break. We are also grateful to our PTO moms
who graciously gave up their time on Tuesday to help monitor
and assist our students in this large-group gathering.
