Bowen - Team Leader -2006 begins my 9th year of teaching and my 4th here in Friendswood. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1998, with a specialization in early childhood and reading.  I strive daily to provide a challenging curriculum that meets the needs of each individual child. I also strongly believe that you are only in first grade once! I try to provide many "special moments" throughout the year that won't easily be forgotten.I want my children to leave with fun and happy memories that will last a lifetime! |

Hello.  I am so excited to be here in Friendswood. This is my 10th year to teach first grade. When not teaching, I enjoy working out, shopping, hanging out with my fellow teachers and sitting in my swimming pool. I am looking forward to a great year! |

Krail - I am very excited to be teaching my 3rd year of First Grade at Westwood.  I have previously taught 9 years of Kindergarten and co-taught 3 years of SEARCH. I earned degrees in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education from Houston Baptist University. My husband and I moved to Friendswood 12 years ago and am currently raising our 3 children here. |

Limmer -  I have been working with children for many years! I taught in Matteson, Illinois for 3 years before I started my own family. After moving to Texas, and two children later, I started teaching preschool at Gloria Dei in Nassau Bay.
When the twins were 3 I started back to preschool. Then I began teaching at Lord of Life Lutheran in Friendswood. I taught there for 8 years. I was also the director of the program for about 4 or 5 of those years. Now I am at Westwood. I tell everyone I was finally promoted to the first grade!!! |

Michael - This is my twelfth year of teaching and I love teaching first graders! Friendswood has been my home  for most of my life and I love being partof such a great community.In my free time,I enjoy shopping, hanging out with my family and friends and eating out! I am an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorn fan and find time to catch every game that I can. I am happy to call Westwood home! |

Melanie Patton - I am originally from Galveston, Texas, home of the fighting Tornadoes. After graduating from Ball High School, I made my way up to Fort Worth and attended Texas Christian University, graduating with a BS in Education in 1992. When I'm not teaching, I love to read - especially mysteries - and I love most sports. I am a big Astros fan and I love to swim. I'd like to consider myself as pretty creative and love painting and creating things for others. |

Quigley - My name is Jennifer Quigley. I have been teaching for 19 years.  This will be my 12th year in Friendswood. I look forward to a wonderfully exciting year with lots of learning and many memories. |

Ryza - This is my fourth year at Westwood Elementary. I am very  excited about the fun and interactive learning that will take place in the classroom this year.I taught first grade for 4 years before moving to Friendswood. I also finished my Master's Degree in Reading Education in August 2004. |
