The Friendswood
High School girls' soccer team got an enthusiastic sendoff from
Westwood fans on their way out of town Thursday morning. While
the police escort was a pretty big deal, their biggest boost
might very well have been that future state contenders were lined
up along 2351 out in front of Westwood with signs that read,
"Third Time's A Charm" and "Lady Mustangs
- Good Luck At State." The energetic crowd jumped up
and down and cheered as the bus turned off Sunset to head toward
the highway. We have a special connection with our Hometown
Heroes because Mrs. Campbell's daughter plays on the team along
with some of our PALs and the siblings of a few of our students.
We wish them the best on their quest as they compete to bring
the title of State Champs back home.
