100 Ways To Celebrate

Photographs may be enlarged.

There are hundreds of ways to celebrate the 100th day of school and it seems certain that Westwood classrooms tried most all of them on Wednesday. Do a hundred jumping jacks? Yep, we did it. Put 100 colorful snack items into baggies? Yep, did that, too. Run the 100-yard dash? Sure did. Dress like we're 100 years old? You caught us! Figure out how many ways we can mathematically arrive at 100? Yes siree. Find 100 words around the room? Check out our lists.

Transform a 100 into something else? Piece of cake. Make a Hundreds Headband? We're wearing it. String 100 pieces of cereal onto a string to make a necklace? We're wearing that one, too! Be visited by Zero the Hero? Turners Learners can tell you all about it! Make a poster about 100 people who have made a difference in history? That one deserves a blue ribbon. Count to 100 by fives and tens using human manipulatives? Did it at Warbles! Wear an outfit with 100 dots on it? Yeah, someone even did that.

What else could we have done? Day 100 sure was fun!
