| Westwood's White
Table, complete with the word "hero" inscribed in salt
on the dinner plate, was set on Thursday to honor the Veterans
in our family who have served in the military to keep us safe
and free. Organized by Margaret Limmer and directed by Laura
Rachita, the program, courtesy of our first graders, included
a beautiful rendition of the patriotic song, There Are Many
Flags, the recitation of a Thank-You poem, the singing of
the melodic God Bless America, and the presentation of
hand-written notes of thanks to our Veterans. |
|
| Every branch of the
military was represented at our special gathering in their honor,
and those who were able to attend were introduced and recognized.
Our heroes enjoyed light refreshments as they visited with our
students about citizenship and character, life and love. We salute
our Veterans and extend our heartfelt appreciation for their
service to our country. |
