| Students at Westwood
were treated to a big helping of Nana Puddin' when ventriloquist
Dennis Lee and his family drove in on Wednesday. Our students
went bananas for this year's show, entitled The Grease Monkey
Garage. Their faces reveal the results of a riveting performance;
just look at how engaged in its character message they were.
A few new puppets came along for the ride, during which five
strategies for the road - fill, fuel, fix, follow, find - were
taught and reinforced. |

| The formula for a successful
road trip, Nana Puddin' said, can be found in a simple traffic
light: Red = stop and think, Yellow = consider the consequence,
Green = go ahead and make the very best choice. A few students
were chosen to come to the stage and help our guest with The
Big Red Firetruck song and a teacher from each performance was
selected to ask a few questions as Dennis and Nick wrapped up
today's program. After thunderous applause, Mr. Lee announced
Nana Puddin's show title for next year - Shhhh, It's A Secret!
Each teacher took back to the classroom a Nana Puddin' commemorative
poster along with a truckload of great memories from an inspirational
assembly. |
